„Education is a fundamental enabler of an active and informed citizenship and thus, for democratic participation.”

Wir freuen uns sehr darüber, euch mitteilen zu können, dass wir als Kulturkollektiv ContrApunkt seit 2023 Teil des europäischen Netzwerks THE CIVICS sind. The Civics ist eine Non-Profit Organisation, deren Sitz sich in Bulgarien, Kroatien und in Deutschland befinden. Das Netzwerk will sich zukünftigen Herausforderungen stellen, die demokratische Prozesse und Strukturen bedrohen. Daher unterstützt dieses Netzwerk politische Bildungsarbeit, macht diese sichtbar und fördert den gemeinsamen Austausch.

“Europe´s citizens need a future-proof set of civic competences to manage social conflicts, cope with complexity and uncertainty, and comprehend the disruptions to democracy. Civic education has an important role in identifying and enhancing those competences, while civic educators in Europe need opportunities to grow, learn, exchange and be challenged. Above all, civic education in Europe needs to rise to the challenges and expectation the world is posing on it.”

The Civics fördert politische Bildungsarbeit und unterstützt dabei die Bürger:innen aber auch jene Organisationen, die politische Bildungsarbeit realisieren und umsetzen. Unter den Schlagwörtern NETWORKING & ADVOCACY wird politische Bildungsarbeit gefördert. Ihr Ziel ist es, Akteur:innen der politischen Bildung über Grenzen hinweg zu vernetzen, ihnen Sichtbarkeit und eine Plattform zu bieten und ihren Einfluss auf eine robustere und nachhaltigere Demokratie in Europa zu stärken.
